Done in pencil and Illustrator colors, I based this on a publicity photo of actress Joi Lansing, one of my favorite blonde bombshells of the 1950's...

Joi Lansing was a striking beauty from Utah to began to model from the instant puberty hit, giving her a 38 1/2–23–35-inch figure. She hit the big screen at the age of 20, appearing in three movies her first year in Hollywood (1948), and although her early acting was wooden, producers didn't care because of her looks and body. Along with movies, television roles came along, as she appeared in such TV shows like Wild Bill Hickock, I Love Lucy, and many of you Deviants may remember her as "Mrs. Superman," a female police detective posing as Superman's wife, being the bait for a notorious gang in The Adventures of Superman. She also played Bob Cummings' girlfriend in The Bob Cummings Show, as well as the glamourous wife of country singer Lester Flatt in The Beverly Hillbillies.

By the mid-1960's roles began to dry up with the death of Marilyn Monroe, Hollywood finally got tired of the "blonde bombshell" type. Her last major film role was B-movie called "Hillbillies in a Haunted House" in 1968, and TV parts dwindled until 1970. In early 1972, the buxom actress, still youthful-looking at the age of 42, received a crushing blow with the discovery of a massive cancerous lump in her left breast, resulting with the breast's removal. She only lived a few more months, dying on August 7th of that year at the age of 43...
